TailSpin is an organisation which supports performers by providing warm, open performance spaces for them to experiment, play and push their craft. At the heart of what we do is story. We work largely with traditional narrative -myth, epics, legends, folktales, fairytales; finding new ways to translate traditional narrative for today's audience. Of key importance to us is challenging the conventional performer/audience relationship by encouraging active, involved listening and imaginative reciprocity.

TailSpin curate storytelling events across the city, including:

On the 3rd(ish) Thursday of every month at The Miller in London Bridge we run the NIGHT OF THE STORYTELLER - an evening of new, fresh & exciting storytelling & music.

Once a year we also present THE STORY BAZAAR - a festival of experimental storytelling. Previously artists include Pandvani 108 (Ben Haggarty, Dominic Kelly, Jo Blake Cave, Mikael Oberg, Emily Parrish, Laura Burns, Cat Gerrard), Nick Hunt, Andrew Barnett Jones, Alys Torrance & Sarah Rundle. The next Bazaar is Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th October 2014 at The Russet, E8 2BT.

We are also launching THE TAILSPIN CABARET at The Russet this Autumn, after our successful debut at The Crick Crack Club's Festival of Fairytales for Grown-ups at The Bargehouse in 2013.

Director, storyteller & puppeteer Cat Gerrard is the Artistic Director. Belinda Sherlock is Managing Director.
